CM Punjab Solar Scheme 2026: Information Guide

Alongside the Teachers E-Bike Scheme, the Chief Minister (CM) of Punjab has announced the Roshan Gharana Solar Scheme 2026. This initiative aims to provide solar panel systems to households across the province to combat rising electricity costs.

What is the CM Punjab Solar Scheme?

The government plans to distribute solar systems (typically 1kW or 2kW) to eligible citizens. The government will cover a substantial portion of the cost (up to 75%), while the consumer pays the remaining amount, often through manageable installments.

Who is Eligible?

  • Citizens holding a valid Punjab domicile.
  • Consumers using up to 100 or 300 units of electricity per month (criteria varies by phase).
  • Preference is usually given to lower-income households.
  • Note: Government teachers applying for the E-Bike scheme may also be eligible for the solar scheme if they meet the electricity consumption criteria.

Process Information

The Solar Scheme is handled separately from the PTF teacher e-bike information. Official notices usually explain the responsible department, eligibility filters, bank role, and phase-wise process.
