Eligibility Criteria
Before applying for the Punjab Teachers E-Bike Scheme 2026, please review the specific requirements to ensure your application is valid.
Primary Requirements
1. Employment Status
You must be an active Government School Teacher employed under the Punjab Education Department. Both Permanent and Contract teaching staff are eligible to apply.
2. Age Limit
The applicant's age must not exceed 55 years on the closing date of the application period.
3. Driving License
Holding a valid driving license is mandatory. You must possess either a valid Motorcycle Driving License or a valid Learner's Permit issued by the Punjab Traffic Police.
4. Pay Scale / Grade
The scheme is generally targeted towards specific BPS (Basic Pay Scale) tiers. Please check official circulars for exact BPS limitations, though broadly BPS-16 and below are prioritized.
Priority Categories
To ensure equitable distribution, the Punjab Teachers Foundation gives special priority to the following applicants during the balloting/selection process:
- Female Teachers: Dedicated quota to ensure mobility and safety for female educators.
- Rural Placements: Teachers serving in remote or rural schools who face longer, more difficult commutes.
Who is NOT Eligible?
- Teachers employed in private educational institutions.
- Non-teaching staff (e.g., administrative, clerical, janitorial) unless specifically authorized by PTF circulars.
- Teachers who are currently suspended or facing serious disciplinary action.
- Teachers who have already benefited from a similar government vehicle scheme in the past 5 years.
